ABOUT LOOSHA

After moving to Torquay in 2012, I had discovered so many wonderful beaches and tourist locations along the Surfcoast that I never knew even existed. I came from a small country town called Kyneton which was where I ran 2 retail stores until I had my 2 beautiful babies. I then went onto do some admin work where I could work from home and although it bored me as it wasn’t my interest it worked well for me as it allowed me to attend to all my children’s school & sporting activities.

But I was constantly wondering where was this going to take me, so… I went on the hunt for something to appear before me and before I knew it, this wonderful business LOOSHA – The Torquay Candle Co stared me right in the face with a big FOR SALE sign (LOOSHA was originally founded in 2011 by Lee Perryman) .  I jumped at it.  I had never made candles but I loved the idea of having my own business again. Loosha has now grown from 6 stockists to 0ver 30 and the range has massively expanded. I have now found my creative side which went missing for a while and this has truly become my dream job.

I love sharing my creations that I personally make in my own home and love the fact that it has encouraged my children to be creative.

To be able to share this life and business with you all now is super special.

COMMUNITY & CONNECTION

We are proud of our local surfcoast heritage. This is our backyard and we are passionate about supporting both the people and community in the place that we live, work and play.  This means that wherever possible we actively support the community in which we work, play and live through fundraising activities and  donations.

In pursuit of our passion for supporting local, our fabulous LOOSHA logo was designed by local artist, Mike Mc Lean.  We fell in love with Mike’s style and use of vibrant colours and believe that this youthful, stylish and fun image epitomises who LOOSHA is today.  Checkout more of Mike’s work here.
